A single prop can say everything about a character. Mikonjo no Shounengari... stands in the hall for staging that entrusts its heroine's nature to a pair of gloves, and as the starting point of the circle HGT Labo.
It is an adult manga of the onee-shota type about Izumikawa Mieko, an unmarried woman on the fourth floor of an apartment building, and a boy who lives on the ground floor. A glove she drops brings the two into contact. She is fastidious and dislikes grown men, and her mother keeps pressing her toward an arranged marriage.
Reviewers agree that the gloves she always wears serve as the outward form of that fastidious inner life. The opening lays out her circumstances without fuss, and the narration keeps its dry tone to the end. A review in Chinese discusses the clarity of the line and the composition, and the closing line of dialogue leaves the door open to more.
It was the circle's first work, released on FANZA in December 2018 and reaching DLsite in February 2020. The circle has since widened its range into series about married women, among others. According to the circle's own notice, it was later adapted into a live-action video.
In the catalogue on hand, DLsite doujin manga with onee-shota, shota or shounen in the title rose from 54 in 2014 to 246 in 2025. English-language databases carry an entry for this book as well. It ranks 144th among the hall's doujin works.
