Takeda Hiromitsu kept writing adult short stories alongside a serialization in a general-audience magazine. Sister Breeder gathers that accumulated work into one volume, and stands in the hall as a book that won both an industry prize and the top place on a store's annual chart.
It is a short-story collection that pairs a three-part title story, about two sisters and their brother, with six shorter pieces from 2007 to 2014. Many of the stories are set at school, and by subject the book falls under incest between siblings and the training genre.
What readers agree on most is the drawing, and the praise recurs year after year. The artist is known for cuckoldry stories, and readers have noted, again and again, that this book contains none.
Takeda Hiromitsu began as an illustrator for adult PC games and has drawn for adult magazines since 2006. This is the third solo adult collection, made while Maken-Ki! was running in Monthly Dragon Age, and it includes a sequel to a story from the first collection, Tsundero.
The print edition came from Wani Magazine in April 2016. It took the grand prize at Kono Ero-Manga ga Sugoi!, ranked first for the year among adult manga at Toranoana's Akihabara Store A, and second in FANZA's annual mail-order ranking of print comics. It stands 50th among the hall's commercial works.
The figures are an automated tally of public data from DLsite (commercial) and FANZA Books; nothing is adjusted by hand.
