After each grim story comes a four-panel epilogue played for laughs. Kairaku Ningyou Ideology stands in the hall as a collection of fighting heroines brought low that adds this one touch, and so shapes even the aftertaste a reader is left with.
Set mostly in medieval-style and Japanese-style fantasy worlds, its eight stories follow strong-willed women such as a demon goddess and a swordswoman as they are made to yield by a spell that turns them into dolls, a suit of tentacle armor, monsters and sorcery. Its subjects are bodily transformation, sex with nonhuman creatures, rape, hypnosis and corruption, and readers took it as a fighting-heroine book true to the Nijigen Dream Comics imprint.
The point readers agree on most is the four-panel epilogue after each story. It picks up the ending in a comic register and softens the heavy aftertaste, and reviewers have singled it out again and again, from the weeks after release to recent years. Several also point to transformed figures drawn down to their ball joints, and to a lineup that mixes in heroines who resist to the end and stories in which the tables turn.
It is Tousen's second collection, arriving four years after Mou Ochiru Shikanai in 2013.
The print edition came out from Kill Time Communication in May 2017 as number 497 in Nijigen Dream Comics, and in the same month number 498 brought a new edition of Mou Ochiru Shikanai alongside it. The digital edition followed that same month. It stands 255th among the hall's commercial works.
