A story in two volumes has to win its readers in the first half or it never reaches the second. Isekai Harem Paradise (Vol. 1) stands in the hall for opening the door into its world with assured drawing, and for sending its readers on to the conclusion.
A young man finds himself inside a social game whose shutdown has already been announced, summoned there by the game's own heroines, and sets out across kingdoms peopled by women of many races: a princess, a knight, beastfolk, a succubus. It is a fantasy harem story. This volume lays down the premise and the setting, and breaks off in the middle of the tale.
What reviewers agree on first is the drawing, which is of a high standard and never slackens from the first page to the last. One spread lines up around 40 characters across two pages, and at least one reader saw in that density the artist's devotion to the form. Several describe Akatsuki Myuuto as a storyteller at heart, and most advise buying this volume together with the second.
Akatsuki Myuuto has published with TI Net's MUJIN COMICS imprint since 2010. From Shoujo x Shoujo x Shoujo in 2011 onward, each new book has found a place in FANZA's annual mail-order chart.
Both print volumes came out between July and September 2020, and by the end of the year the first had placed 16th in FANZA's annual mail-order comics chart and 10th for the year at Toranoana's Akihabara A store. The digital edition followed about three months later, in November. It stands 187th among the hall's commercial works.
