Mesugaki Rina-chan appeared in the year when manga carrying that word in their titles first passed 100, and it stands in the hall as the first of a series that won readers with its pace and the density of its drawing.
A man who has moved into his uncle's house after a messy divorce finds a girl, Rina, in a house that should have been empty. It is an adult doujin manga in the mesugaki line, stories of a cheeky girl who needles adults, and her background is left largely untold.
Reviewers agree on the tempo, and one praises the choice of angles. Readers on both DLsite and FANZA note the meticulous detail and the strength of the drawing. A story that ends with its circumstances still unexplained, and a preview of the next volume on the last pages, kept them waiting for more.
Mochiya, the circle of the artist Karochi, had listed on FANZA works that read as KanColle fan comics alongside original titles. This was the circle's first new release on DLsite, and sequels followed at the end of 2024 and of 2025.
It went on sale on DLsite in April 2023 and on FANZA in July. In the catalogue on hand, DLsite doujin manga with mesugaki in the title rose from 15 in 2019 to 124 in 2023, a rise readers noted as well. It ranks 19th in the hall's loli and flat-chested category and 146th among the hall's doujin works.
