A collected edition can travel further than any of the books it gathers. Tsūkin Dōchū de Ano Ko ga Midara na Kōi o Shite Kuru Matome Banashi folds eight volumes into one and sets the highest figure the series has reached.

The title states the whole situation. On the commute, the girl in the next seat shows her underwear. The first four chapters run from the man's side, the side being shown to; in the second four the viewpoint changes hands. Why the habit took hold, and whose attention it finally draws. Each chapter opens with a prelude before its main body, putting the same premise once through the happy side and once through the other. Two aftertastes under a single cover.

Oouso, the artist behind the circle, also stands twenty-second in the hall of commercial artists. Under the Usotsukiya name came a run of Touhou sock books in 2013, then seven years of silence, then this series in 2020; it now runs to a twelfth chapter. The collection redraws the early instalments in particular across 272 pages, so that readers who already own the singles are handed a different book.

Sales fell heavily to one side: 21,000 on DLsite against 390,000 on FANZA. The hall's decision to add both storefronts together does visible work in this case. Twenty-ninth among doujin works in the hall.
