The meeting is a chance encounter on a rainy night, but the story's weight rests on the days that follow. Zubunure no Nekokei Gyaru o Hirotta node Ie de Kau Koto ni Shimasu stands in the hall as a pure-love story that takes its time with the life that begins after the rescue.

On a rainy summer night, a young man on his way home from work finds a young woman with nowhere to go, crouched and soaked through; her name, Mike, sounds like the Japanese word for a calico cat. He cannot bring himself to leave her there, and lets her stay the night. Both of them carry shadowed pasts, and as they share the same rooms they slowly open up to each other. It is a pure-love story whose subject is living together with a gyaru.

What reviewers agree on most is the care with which the distance between the two closes, and the soothing feeling the book leaves behind. The rare smiles that break through Mike's usual blank expression are praised too. The "cat-like" of the title runs all the way through her name and a choker hung with a bell, and readers also value the length: more than fifty pages, enough to follow the pair well past their first meeting.

The book was planned by Seika Kairaku Shoten, headed by Eltoria, with a script by Takahashi Toru, art by Choko Minto, and a cover by Nanaken Nana.

It appeared first on FANZA in November 2024 and reached DLsite in March 2025, and within a little over three months official translations had appeared in five languages. On DLsite, doujin manga with "gyaru" in the title rose from 32 in 2016 to 464 in 2025. It stands 172nd among the hall's doujin works.
