What a title promises and what the pages deliver are not always the same thing. Namaiki Douki-chan o Wakarasete Yaru Hanashi stands in the hall as a book that turned that gap toward a close reading of its heroine's inner life.
A woman with an otaku streak and no history of romance is suddenly asked out by a colleague who joined the company in the same year. Suspecting that he is only after her body, she goes along with it anyway, and as his kindness throws her, her suspicion starts to dissolve. It is a 50-page full-colour doujinshi, an office romance between two adults, although its official genre tags also include wakarase and namaiki, the cheeky-girl type.
The story is carried mostly by her inner monologue, and he says little. Her doubt, her flustered moments and her sudden elation are the substance of the reading. Readers see her less as cheeky than as a shy person tangled up in her own self-image, and they single out an ending that leaves a clean, unclouded aftertaste.
It went on sale from the circle SigMart on FANZA in February 2025 and reached DLsite that October, on the same day as two of the circle's other titles. It stands alone, outside any series. It ranks 181st among the hall's doujin works.
