Saimin Seishidou Soushuuhen stands in the hall as the compilation that gathered a series built on a single premise, a whole school hypnotized at once, into one book that became the way in.
It is an adult hypnosis series set in a school, and its official genre tags list netorare as well. It opens with a boy who has the power of hypnosis placing the entire school under suggestion in one stroke, and each chapter then turns its attention to one student at a time.
That single opening act is the hinge of the structure. With no need to hypnotize anyone again chapter by chapter, readers note, the pages can go to the characters themselves, and several point to the range of types the cast is drawn in. Where the same makers' Ijirare runs one line of revenge against three girls, this is an ensemble that uses the school itself as the mechanism. Seven earlier single chapters are joined by 34 newly drawn pages of prequels and character profiles for 224 pages in all, and readers who already owned the singles still value the additions.
Aiue Oka, the author behind the circle 50on!, is one name shared by two makers. The book was distributed at Comiket 97 in the winter of 2019; the print edition took first place in Toranoana's annual ranking for 2020, and the digital edition marked the series' first appearance on DLsite. The series has since spread to a six-episode OVA, to novelization, and in 2024 to a PC game.
More than 80 percent of combined sales across the two stores came on FANZA, and readers name the series as the defining example of the hypnosis story. It can also be read as one finished form of a period in which hypnosis was favored as a way into the story that skips the process of courtship. In the hall it stands seventh in the Hypnosis division and ninth in the Netorare division.
