Into 28 full-colour pages it fits a contrast between two characters and a structure in three parts. "Onee-chan-tachi to Amaama Juken Benkyou" stands in the hall as the breakout book that spread the name of the circle Furaidisshu.

It is an onee-shota work about a boy preparing for entrance exams and two older high-school students who help him study, and the store's official genre tags list it as sweet and lovey-dovey.

The two are drawn as opposites, an expressionless, cool student-council president and a motherly, slightly scatterbrained "onee-chan", and most reader comment dwells on that difference. The structure gives each of them a section in turn and then brings them together in a third, fitting a full arc into very few pages. Readers also praise its pace and the soft, cute touch of the full-colour art. That reviewers keep calling it the "royal road" of the genre can be read as a sign that onee-shota already had a well-worn set of conventions by 2020, and that this book polished them without straying.

It was the third work from the circle's artist, Jakko, released in the summer of 2020 as a standalone with no series behind it. It came out on both stores on the same day and took No.1 in DLsite's daily comic ranking on release. A second wave arrived a little over four months later, during a period of steep discounts: its best monthly ranking dates from early 2021, and reviews from readers who picked it up at a discount cluster in the same stretch. Its sales on DLsite remain the highest of anything the circle has released there.

It stands 151st among the hall's doujin works, 9th in the Shota division and 16th in Onee-Shota. Three years later, the same circle's "Onee-chan to, Mama to, Honki Koubi." overtook it on combined sales.
