There was a stretch of years when the word enkou, the older term for paid dating, faded from doujin titles and papakatsu took its place. Shiritakunakatta -Zenpen- (I Wish I Hadn't Known, Part One) appeared in the middle of that shift and was read on a large scale, and that is why it stands in the hall.
It is the first half of a two-part story about a high-school girl from a family short of money and an older man who has been paying only for meals with her — a papakatsu arrangement — up to the point where he proposes a further transaction. Its subject is paid companionship across an age gap, and the official genre tags include restraint and training.
The first part is in no hurry. It has been noted for setting ordinary days between its scenes; it lays down the premise of school fees and the cost of going on to further study, then draws the curtain and leaves the rest to Part Two. Readers agree on two points: how well it works as an opening, and the neatness of the drawing.
The circle Ringo no Naru Ki released it in May 2022, and the second half followed nineteen months later, in December 2023.
Most of its readers came through FANZA, where it climbed as high as sixth in the store's doujin rankings. On DLsite, doujin titles containing "papakatsu" grew from 5 in 2018 to 74 in 2022 and 114 in 2025, while those containing "enkou" fell from 2023 onward. The figures can be read as tracing a change of generation in the words used for paid companionship. It stands 49th among the hall's doujin works.
