A stock premise can be dispatched in a single line or, given the care, built into a whole book. Yotta Kouhai ga Sunao ni Naru made stands in the hall as a workplace romance that takes the familiar setup of a cool junior colleague who shows her real feelings over drinks and builds it up across 63 pages.

It is a romance between two adults, a senior and a junior at the same company. The junior, curt with him at work, confesses her feelings when the two of them go out drinking, and things move on from there. He is the hesitant one and she is the one who acts; the tone stays bright, and the two come together because each wants the other.

What reviewers agree on first is the care of the setup: some 20 pages, about a third of the whole, go to closing the distance between them. The story moves in stages through a confession that slips out almost by accident to the point where she lets her guard down, and its peak comes when a misunderstanding clears. The ending returns to ordinary office life and closes on a small exchange some days later.

Readers know the setup well, and they write that what carries it anyway is the conviction of the drawing. At the centre of that is the contrast between her stiffness at work and the ease she shows when the two are alone.

It went on sale on both stores on 4 November 2022. Of the works the author Danimaru has released as the circle Danimaru Studio, it is the oldest in our records, the circle's starting point. It stands 17th in the pure-love division and 114th among the hall's doujin works.
