An artist known for collections of coercion put their own pen name into a title and gave a whole book to a single couple. That change of course was recorded by an award, and Eightman-sensei no Okage de Kanojo ga Dekimashita! entered the EHOF hall through the door kept for award records.

A schoolgirl looking through the adult manga in a bookshop runs into her homeroom teacher, and the discovery that both of them read "Eightman-sensei" starts them talking. Over five chapters the story follows the two, unsettled by their positions, until they come together after her graduation. It is a pure-love story whose subject is the age gap between a teacher and his student.

The artist's own name appears in the story as the manga artist whose books bring the two together, and readers greeted this self-reference as something new. They also praise a plot worked through because the whole volume belongs to one couple, the beauty of the drawing beginning with the colouring of the cover, and the aftertaste of the ending.

It is the third commercial volume, after Honnou and Mebuki. Readers recorded it, with surprise, as a turn toward pure love by an artist who had mostly drawn coercion. The collected volume followed the release of single chapters and came out in summer 2023.

In Kono Ero-Manga ga Sugoi! 2023 it was named the MVP chosen by Kimi Rito, one of the selectors. In autumn 2026 it was still returning again and again to DLsite's rankings. It stands 127th among the hall's commercial works.
