It sold over print-era shop counters and has gone on being read by digital buyers. Nee, ...Shiyo stands in the hall as a short-story collection with a record in both print and digital.
Pija published it with Core Magazine's Megastore Comics: nine stories plus a newly drawn piece. Each story takes a different pairing, from lovers, a brother and his younger sister, and a teacher and student to a class representative, childhood friends, and a man and woman who meet at a group date, and its subjects include incest and school settings. Some stories depict non-consent or multiple partners.
The strength of the drawing is what reviewers return to most often. The line is on the thin side, yet the paneling and composition move. Many also single out the character design: plain, so-called mob faces rather than polished beauties, each drawn distinctly. The weight of the drawing sits on the face, and the care given to expression and gaze holds the reader's eye.
Reviews record readers who had followed Pija since the artist's doujinshi days. It is the only Pija book available on DLsite Books.
The print edition appeared in August 2017 and placed fifth in that year's adult manga bestseller list at Toranoana's Akihabara store A and 12th in FANZA mail order's annual comic ranking. The digital edition followed on DLsite in February 2018, and a two-episode OVA under the same title was made that year. It stands 126th among the hall's commercial works.
The figures are an automated tally of public data from DLsite (commercial) and FANZA Books; nothing is adjusted by hand. The score and the ranking follow the formulas published in full in the Selection Criteria. The appreciation text is written by EHOF and has no connection to the rights holders or the retailer.
