Prototype Mademoiselle stands in the hall as 40010 Shisakugata's first collection, which won the grand prize of Kono Ero-Manga ga Sugoi! in summer 2017 and placed high in print shop rankings the same year.
It is an adult short-story collection gathering eleven pieces from COMIC Kairakuten, set at school among upperclassmen and juniors and childhood friends; the official genre tags include school uniforms and school. Several readers point to the way a piece is carried by the dialogue of a character who speaks in regional dialect.
40010 Shisakugata has been active since 2012 at the latest as the doujin circle 40010 Ichigou, leaving a mark on Toranoana's monthly rankings. Two further collections bearing the name Prototype followed this one.
The print edition came out from Wanimagazine in March 2017. At Toranoana Akihabara Store A it placed first for the first half of that year and second for the year, and it is listed among that store's hundred books of all time; it also placed eighth in FANZA's annual mail-order comic ranking. The digital edition appeared the same year. It stands 75th among the hall's commercial works.
