It holds summer memories and the unspoken feelings of adolescence inside pages built by subtraction. Seishun Holic stands in the hall as Kiiroi Tamago's third book, still read for that atmosphere.
It is a coming-of-age collection of six chapters, three two-part stories from COMIC LO. They follow first love among boys and girls of similar age: classmates, a class-representative senior and a junior, and an older cousin. Official genre listings include loli, shota and school setting, and the publisher presents it as a book that treats young love with sincerity.
What reviewers agree on is atmosphere, a nostalgia that brings back summers in the countryside and at school. Holding it up are a way of fitting both reluctance and open fondness into one story, calculated composition and paneling, and a sense of reality carried in a cartoonish, well-judged line. Every story reaches a happy close.
Kiiroi Tamago had published two books about high-school characters under Akane Shinsha's TENMA COMICS KOH imprint, and this is the first after the move to the LO label.
The print edition came out at the end of June 2021 and placed third that year in FANZA's annual mail-order ranking of print comics. Five years on, in 2026, it surfaced again on DLsite's daily chart. It stands 202nd among the hall's commercial works.
