A newcomer who debuted in COMIC LO in the summer of 2020 saw a first book climb the year's charts in print shops and go back to press nearly five years later. Suki ni Shite Ii yo stands in the hall with the record of that assured start.
It is a collection from Akane Shinsha's TENMA COMICS LO line, gathering six stories in seven chapters, one of them in two parts. It belongs to the lolicon strand of adult manga, and its official genre tags list students, loli and shota. The publisher describes its range as extending to a coming-of-age story centred on a boy.
Readers agree first on the drawing. The style does not lean toward realism, yet reviewers find the faces drawn without compromise, rendering the characters' inner states with a fine touch. Happy endings sit in the same book as endings that hint at a dead end, and some heavy stories close on a light punchline. Several reviewers sense something decadent and uneasy hanging over the collection as a whole.
Kurebayashi Asami assembled this book about a year after debuting; the second followed from the same publisher in 2025.
The print edition came out in September 2021, the digital one the following month. It placed fifth in FANZA's mail-order comic chart for 2021 and twenty-second in Toranoana Akihabara Store A's best sellers for the year, and it was reprinted in 2026. It ranks 240th among the hall's commercial works.
