The title story opens with a junior colleague consoling a senior who has just been left by his girlfriend. The one who stayed quiet while he was taken stops having a reason to stay quiet. Elsewhere: a classmate, the twins next door, a girl working at a maid café. Nobody is used as a stepping stone, and every piece ends with two people happy.
Danimaru gives the most time to faces. Long lashes, a gaze that stops just short of a blink, the instant a feeling turns over. Comments naming the expressions and the eyes line up independently at two storefronts. Bodies are drawn soft, but the page keeps its attention on the face to the end, and even mid-act the eyes are still on the other person. The dialogue is sweet, and nothing hurries toward the sex.
A first collection, gathered from short pieces run in comic Anthurium. The title story carries its sequel and a newly drawn epilogue exclusive to the digital edition, so that one volume follows a single relationship the whole way.
Published in 2022, with an animated adaptation the following year. On DLsite's all-time ranking of adult comic volumes it still stands at the top, four years on. Twentieth among the hall's commercial works.
