A first book sometimes turns out to be the defining one. Seikatsu Shuukan is Michiking's debut collection, and it is the volume that keeps him in the hall.

It holds two serials and nothing else. Five chapters of Kinyokubu, in which girls form a club with a teacher under the pretext of training themselves to bear the boys' stares. Five of Ane Taiken Shuukan, in which three sisters who do nothing but abuse their brother wake one morning to find him small, and start doting on him. In the first half an adult leads; in the second he is the one led. Within a single volume the direction reverses.

Michiking draws softness. Readers agree that the give of a body reads through its clothes, and name the texture of skin as the reason they bought the book. The other point of agreement is the face that changes as a story goes on. The descent is not written on the expression alone; it is placed in how carefully a kiss is drawn, in how the wheedling shifts, and so the reader stays on the characters' side throughout. That no one is destroyed is this artist's consistent design.

Two years after the debut, it collects two runs from Comic Grape into a first book. Both Shuujuu Ecstasy and Azatomaking afterwards extend the form set out here.

An animated adaptation followed in 2019. Among the commercial works in the hall it stands seventeenth.
