Kanojo no Binetsu to Boku no Hotobori is the first work from the circle Nyā no Esa. It stands in the hall as a starting point: a debut that found a wide readership and was later adapted into live action.
On a summer day at school, a classmate collapses with heatstroke during a lesson, and the boy who serves on the health committee carries her to the nurse's office. Told from his point of view, the story follows him from learning that she has a boyfriend, through his sense that a private fantasy has been betrayed, to an act that cannot be undone. Its subjects are somnophilia and non-consent, and it belongs to the netorare mold, set at a school.
Most reviewers decline to stand with the narrator. A boy who sees himself as an outsider in class fastens an unearned sense of kinship on a quiet classmate, and it curdles into jealousy. Reviewers summarize that trajectory in nearly identical terms, then hold him at arm's length as a selfish boy nursing a grudge he has no right to.
On the art, reviewers repeatedly mention a soft touch; one describes a fragile line that recalls the faintness of youth.
It was released digitally on DLsite and FANZA Doujin in September 2020, and most of its readers found it on FANZA. The circle's second release, a year and four months later, also entered the hall, and the FANZA pages of both list live-action versions. It stands 163rd among the hall's doujin works.
