Put the most out-of-place figure imaginable in a place that keeps the quiet. Toshokan de Benkyou Shiteitara Itsumo Kuru Gal JK ni... runs its 20 pages on that single pairing, and stands in the hall both as a short story and as one of the points from which the circle Mittsuman set out.
In the summer holidays before his university entrance exams, a boy studying at the library keeps losing his concentration to a gyaru schoolgirl who turns up at the same hour, until one day she is the one who speaks to him. It is a short gyaru story set in a library.
A library in fiction usually comes furnished with a librarian or some quiet bookish type. Readers enjoy the curveball of planting a gyaru there instead. They agree that it gets from setup to substance quickly and packs a lot into little space, and many praise the drawing, pointing to her provocative gaze and expressions. The art is by Cobra no Oyatsu.
Why she comes to the library is never explained, and the story closes on that gap. Readers who took the silence as a lingering aftertaste have kept asking for more, or for the two to meet again.
It went on sale in September 2021. In our records it is the oldest of Mittsuman's titles. By a rough count, doujin manga with gyaru in their titles grew their share of the whole about two and a half times between 2019 and 2025, and this book came early in that rise. It stands 163rd among the hall's doujin works.
