EROMANGA
HALL OF FAME

A formula that many artists have worked can still read as new, depending on how carefully it is built up. Kanojo to no Kekkon Houkoku ni Kisei Shita no ni Gimai to Yarimakuri no Suujitsukan ga Hajimatte Shimatta stands in the hall for exactly that care.

The protagonist travels to his girlfriend's family home to announce their engagement and is reunited with her younger sister, whom he used to look after. Over a stay of a few days, the two begin an affair and keep it going. Its subject is infidelity, and readers file it under gyaku-netorare, the reversal of the cuckolding story in which a man already spoken for is the one pursued. The sense of transgression rests on her being about to become his sister-in-law.

Reviewers agree on its decision to keep the action within and around the family home. Under one roof with the rest of the household, the risk of discovery never lets up across those few days, and the road to the affair is not rushed. The bespectacled, cool-headed elder sister and the boyish, energetic younger one are drawn as clear opposites, and the shading and the steadiness of the drawing are praised too.

It ends without heaviness, leaving room for the relationship to continue. This was the second release from the circle Nyā no Esa, which changed its subject sharply after its first.

Released digitally in January 2022, it climbed as high as 4th on FANZA Doujin's 24-hour chart and 7th on its weekly chart. That year, titles containing words for cuckolding or cheating made up just over 3 percent of DLsite's manga. It stands 79th among the hall's doujin works.
