EROMANGA
HALL OF FAME

Gather the single issues again and close them with new pages. Seikyouiku Series Soushuuhen 1 stands in the hall as evidence that a doujin compilation can be read as a book in its own right.

It brings together the first five works of the Sex Education series by the circle Mikuropēji, with 20 newly drawn pages added. The series follows two girls depicted as junior high school students who are singled out by a middle-aged man, and it belongs to the non-consensual ryōjoku genre, the kind often called training stories, with abduction and molestation among its subjects. The new pages are set several years later and close the first half of the series.

One reader places the book in an older mode of training story, one that does without the hypnosis or warped-reality devices common among titles using the phrase "sex education", and sees in that phrase the new name for what used to be called training. Another expected a warped-reality premise from the title alone, a sign of how widely the phrase circulated as a genre term.

Readers' praise gathers around the strength of the drawing and the completeness of a story that gives the series a resting point. Long-time followers who bought it for the new pages sit alongside readers who came to the circle through this book.

Mikuropēji began releasing work on DLsite in 2017. Issued for Comic Market 100, this compilation outsold the circle's single works, and four years on it still returns to the daily chart. It ranks 62nd in the doujin hall and 12th in the Loli division.
