Heart Mark Oome. 3 stands in the hall for having shown, across three volumes, that a harem is made not by headcount but by the balance of feeling among everyone in it.

It is a harem story about three people: the protagonist, his stepsister, who draws adult manga, and a classmate, a dark-tanned gyaru with otaku tastes. The first book was his story with the stepsister, the second with the classmate, and this one brings all three together. It turns on a trip won in a raffle: the first half takes as its subject the week of abstinence before departure, the device known as teasing, and the second half is given to the trip itself.

Miyamoto Issa, the artist behind the circle NOSEBLEED, works by closing in rather than pulling back. Instead of watching a scene from a fixed camera, the panels stack single cut-out instants and often drop to a character's own eye level. The heart marks of the title are the symbols that float in the dialogue, and they have multiplied with each volume; the ending brings the title home. What earns the book the name of a summation is that the three are drawn in a relationship where each cares for the others as an equal.

It was handed out at Comic Market 100, the circle's fourth release on DLsite. Three years separate it from the second book. The following year the artist published a commercial volume carrying on the same title, Heart Mark Motto Oome., through Core Magazine.

Every work in the harem category appeared between 2021 and 2024. One can read in that a period that wanted not a story that narrows to a single partner but a form in which everyone cares for everyone equally. All three volumes of the series are in the hall, and this one stands first in the harem category. For all three, most of the readership is on FANZA.
