A story needs no grand device: one night after a chance reunion is enough to raise a romance. Kyonyuu Motokano o Tomete Agetara Orei ni Shiboritoraremakutta Hanashi stands in the hall as a one-shot that won readers through that closeness to everyday life.
On his way home from work, a young man is stopped by the woman he dated in his student days and ends up putting her up for the night. Its subject is meeting and getting back together with a former partner, in an adult doujinshi about a relationship in which the woman takes the lead; FANZA lists pure love and an all-happy ending among its genres.
What readers return to most is how sweet the former girlfriend is and how well her expressions are drawn. Several say it stays with them as a love story once it is over, and others point to plotting that feels like it could really happen and to a light-hearted air they take as the artist's own signature.
Released in March 2022 as Fuguta-ke's third work, it shaped, together with the release that followed, the circle's early pattern of short one-shot romances in which the woman takes the lead. In February 2023 those stories became a printed collection, #Jun'ai Kanojo, carrying doujin work sold only on FANZA into a commercial book.
Titles that spell out the plot and end in hanashi, "the story of how", rose among doujin comics on DLsite from just over 1 percent in 2014 to 5 percent in 2022, and this title has that shape. On FANZA's doujin charts it reached eighth over 24 hours. It stands 136th among the hall's doujin works.
