In the readers' poll for 2003, Mousou Diary took first place, 48 points clear of the runner-up. That award is what brought it into this hall. It was the fifth collected volume by Tsukino Jogi.
Its spine is a linked series about a brother and sister living under one roof, an incest story set in motion by a diary found in the sister's room. Around it sit a two-part story about a woman teacher and a schoolboy, a piece about a young wife, and a short story about a mermaid printed entirely in colour.
Almost nothing written about the book at the time survives online. Years later, a reader who had parted with the print copy and bought it again in digital form described the title story's plotting as following a familiar pattern without a single loose joint. There has never been an official English edition, yet an English-language manga database holds more than 80 ratings for it.
Tsukino debuted in 1999, and this book appeared in the fifth year of that career, the second after ♭37℃ to come from Core Magazine. The stories first ran in COMIC Megastore, and the same English-language database records that the brother and sister returned there in a one-shot the following year, 2004.
The Eromanga Taisho is a readers' poll run by volunteers on an online message board, and 2003 was the last year in which voters could spread a fixed allowance of points however they chose. Second the year before, Tsukino reached the top with this book. The print edition dates from 2003; the year on the hall's roster, 2013, is that of the DLsite digital release. It ranks 107th in the commercial hall.
