One premise, carried through an entire book. Onnanoko Touban Hajimemashita stands in the hall as a collection whose nine stories are all TSF, tales in which a man comes to have a woman's body.
In the title story, a schoolboy turned into a girl by the power of a bracelet stands before his classmates as the one "on duty". Elsewhere an older brother possessed by a spirit and his cross-dressing younger brother, a lifeguard and a detective all find themselves in women's bodies.
Readers agree that the mechanism of transformation changes from story to story: a bracelet, possession, special powers, an online game, with origins ranging from the occult to science fiction. One review explains the duty in the title story as a scheme to keep boys from turning "herbivorous", and the setting can be read as folding the vogue word soushoku danshi, herbivore men, into its premise.
It was Marneko's fifth book, and later titles would put TS and sex change right in their names. The print edition came out in August 2013, and on its digital release it went straight to first place on DLsite's daily and weekly charts. It stands 185th among the hall's commercial works.
