APPRECIATION ── BY EHOF

A first collection that included its author's debut piece went on to place in the annual chart of a major retail shop. Shoujo-ryuu Koufuku Kakushuron enters the hall as the starting point of Sasakura Ayato, who would later carry a long serialization in the mainstream.

It is a loli-genre adult short-story collection from Akaneshinsha's TENMA COMICS, gathering ten pieces including Houkago no Kyoushitsu Fuukei, the 2002 debut. Alongside stories set in classrooms and during student teaching, there are pieces set at home and in a coffee shop; the official genre tags include loli, shota and school life. Some stories deal with incest between sisters, and with futanari.

Almost nothing written about the book at the time survives online. In a retrospective poll held in 2011, one voter named this first collection as one of the strong contenders a 2004 vote would have had.

From 2005, the year after this book, until 2011, Sasakura drew the manga adaptation of Shakugan no Shana in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh, ten volumes in all, a mainstream run that sold in large numbers.

The print edition placed 11th in Toranoana's annual adult comics ranking for fiscal 2004. In the Eromanga Taisho for 2004, the book later took second place in a retrospective vote: the 2004 edition of the volunteer-run readers' poll on 2channel had been abandoned, and was held again in 2008. The year on the roster, 2017, is that of the digital edition, and the book stands 225th among the hall's commercial works.

The figures are an automated tally of public data from DLsite (commercial) and FANZA Books; nothing is adjusted by hand. The score and the ranking follow the formulas published in full in the Selection Criteria. The appreciation text is written by EHOF and has no connection to the rights holders or the retailer.
