An artist known for manga adaptations has left exactly one adult book. Himitsudere is that one book, and it takes its place in the hall as such.
It collects work from COMIC X-EROS and its successor COMIC E×E, published between 2014 and 2017, along with new pages drawn for the book. Every title ends in -dere, and every story is a consensual romantic comedy about women who are less than candid until their true feelings show. The spine is a harem series set in a near future where men have become extremely scarce, in which three maids arrive at the protagonist's door. Alongside it are a series centered on the young heir of a prominent family and two standalone stories set at school; incest is among the subjects.
Reviewers agree on how deftly each story varies its reason why the heroine cannot be honest, and on the gap between the faces the characters show and the ones they hide. A contemporary review singled out the soft line, the restrained screentone and the care taken to give each heroine a face of her own. Many readers also mention the new epilogues and the bright tone throughout.
By the time this book appeared, にぃと already had ten general-audience volumes, most of them adaptations such as Mayo Chiki!. The artist's own website likewise lists this as the only adult book.
The print edition came out from GOT on June 30, 2017, and placed 12th among adult manga on the year's bestseller list at Toranoana Akihabara A. It stands 250th among the hall's commercial works.
