An artist who publishes rarely tends to raise the level of the drawing with each book. Ippai Asobo! stands in the hall for the assurance of that drawing and the build of its linked stories. It is the third collection by Misao., who keeps to a pace of one book every few years, and it arrived four years after the last.
It collects ten chapters that ran in COMIC LO from 2014 to 2018, an adult collection in the loli genre. Its protagonists are girls depicted as elementary school students, and its main subject is enjo kōsai, compensated dating, for pocket money or to pay for mobile game purchases; it also includes stories of a cram school teacher and a pupil and of classmates. As the serial title Ippai Mawaso!, a pun on spinning gacha draws, suggests, the customs of the late 2010s are written into its premises.
There are two stand-alone chapters and three short serials, and many readers single out how the arrangement lets them follow what happens afterwards. The delicacy of faces in close-up, the colouring and opening colour pages, the steady composition, and a tone that keeps darkness out are praised again and again.
The first book, Hajimete no! (2012), placed high on a specialist shop's chart for the year, and after Hajimete ja nai yo? in 2014 this one came out from Akaneshinsha in July 2018.
On DLsite it reached the top of both the daily and weekly charts the year after release. It ranks 125th in the commercial hall.
