Sex on the page owes nothing to story. Koubi wa Mechakucha Kimochi Ii stands in the hall as a book built with the sexual depiction itself in the leading role.
Its eight pieces share no world. A magical girl, a beast, a breeding colosseum. Each premise is stated by the shortest possible route, the backgrounds go undrawn, and the reader is put at the matter at hand immediately. Story here is stage machinery, and what is cut from it comes back as density.
Motsuaki draws in a cute, animated line. Onto that cuteness go an extreme narrowness of waist, a heaviness of thigh, a skin permanently flushed. Anatomical correctness yields to whatever proportion draws heat out of the person looking. Cross-section panels recur, diagramming again and again what is happening inside. The sound effects are excessive and so is the dialogue, and the same image of penetration and release returns at slightly altered angles, over and over. One critic wrote that reading it comes close to hallucinating. The excess is not an accident; it is the design.
After contributions to anthologies, this is the artist's first book alone. So far it is also the only one.
It collects work from 2D Dream Magazine. There is no sequel and no side story. It has held a high place among the hall's commercial works regardless. This is what it looks like for a single volume to stand on its own.
The figures are an automated tally of public data from DLsite (commercial) and FANZA Books; nothing is adjusted by hand. The score and the ranking follow the formulas published in full in the Selection Criteria. The appreciation text is written by EHOF and has no connection to the rights holders or the retailer.
