Some artists spend years on a single subject, in doujinshi and commercial magazines alike. Kozukuri Children stands in the hall as Kidou Muichi's first collection, issued in print and read steadily in digital form ever since.
It is an adult collection with children as its protagonists, classified under loli and school on DLsite and under shota on FANZA. It gathers Shishun no Heya, a novella in three chapters, and four short stories; of the shorts, one first ran in COMIC LO in 2015 and two in Juicy.
What readers agree on is the soft line and gentle touch of the drawing. They also note that the stories never take a grim turn, and the novella that opens the book draws the most support.
Kidou Muichi has also built up a numbered doujin series under the name Kidoukan, with issues from 2016 to 2019. On the commercial side, this was the first collection, in TI-Net's MUJIN COMICS line, and the publisher presented Kidou Muichi as an artist devoted to this one subject. A second collection followed from the same line in December 2019.
The print edition appeared in August 2018 and placed 13th in FANZA's annual mail-order ranking of print comics. FANZA released the digital edition in December 2019, and DLsite in January 2020. It stands 78th among the hall's commercial works.
