The collection of magazine one-shots is the basic form of adult manga. Koubi no Ojikan stands in the hall as a collection that swaps out setting and cast wholesale from one story to the next and carries all ten through on momentum.
Published by Angel Shuppan, it gathers ten one-shots from the company's flagship monthly, ANGEL Club, including 16 pages in colour. A newlywed wife, a university student visiting a village with an old festival, teammates from a housewives' volleyball club: each story brings a new setting and a new relationship. Its subjects run from married women and age gaps to cheating, incest and village custom, most of them handled in a bright tone with little grimness.
Reviewers agree on the force of the page: the placement of sound effects, the angled viewpoints and the speed lines all drive it forward. They also point to setups kept short, to a story that swerves midway into a different plot, and to the comic streak of the male leads, drawn with range from old men to small-time thugs.
For Dorachefu it was a second book, arriving three years after a first collection in 2017, and early reviews greeted it as a long-awaited volume that showed how far the artist had come. A third followed from Core Magazine in 2025.
The print and digital editions appeared together in February 2020. It placed 26th in the first-half 2020 adult comics chart at Toranoana's Akihabara Store A, and stands 158th among the hall's commercial works.
