A series followed chapter by chapter takes on a new shape when it becomes a book. Saimin Chiryou Hajimemashita stands in the hall as a collected volume that uses newly drawn pages to bind a series centred on one place into a single book.

It is a linked series set in a chiropractic clinic, what the genre calls a hypnosis story, and it also includes the element known as netori, the taking of someone else's partner. Three side stories about the same clinic follow the six chapters of the main story, and the lead of the main story appears in every one. A newly drawn single panel sits between chapters, and a bonus comic closes the book.

The chapters began appearing one at a time in G-Walk's Comic Reboot in 2020, and the series ended in April 2021. Several reviews say a collected edition was awaited while it was still running; the print book arrived at the end of June 2022. Readers point to a careful pace with a sense of build and release, and to a soft, rounded drawing style.

For Kanro Ame it is the second adult collection, and the first issued with a different publisher. The artist has moved back and forth between work for general readers and adult work, and a new title for general readers is scheduled for December 2026.

Commercial titles on DLsite with hypnosis in the title peaked in 2019 and then declined. The book can be read as one that still found a wide readership as the vogue for openings that reach a relationship without passing through romance was receding. The print edition placed eighteenth in FANZA's mail-order annual comics ranking for 2022. It stands 110th among the hall's commercial works.
