A single piece of relational design can hold up an entire book. Iribitari Gyaru ni Manko Tsukawasete Morau Hanashi stands in the hall as the demonstration.

A classmate, Kuroda Hikaru, comes round to read manga in his room; in exchange he gets the use of her body. Not affection, not romance — only the balance of the trade holds the two of them together. The room is treated as a manga cafe, and she keeps turning pages through the act itself. Jog her and she gets annoyed. Readers register this arrangement as something other than the familiar figure of the gal who is kind to otaku.

The line Manno draws is fine and carries no surplus shadow. Panel density is high, yet what is happening and where is always readable. What readers name in chorus is the full-page panel in which she lies with her legs open, indifferent, turning a page — and then the graduated collapse of that expression. The blankness exists in order to break, and many readers treat the fineness of those increments as the value of the book itself.

Since the first release in 2023 the same pair has been carried through four further volumes. The thing that began as payment shifts, by degrees, into something else, and the circle Amagami Honpo has kept drawing that shift book by book.

Ninth among doujin manga in the hall. Not one official foreign-language edition exists; for now the book is read in Japanese.
