EROMANGA
HALL OF FAME

The first book an artist placed on the digital shelf became the doorway to a three-book series and a commercial collection. Heart Mark Oome. stands in the hall as that point of departure.

It is the first book of a series about a stepsister who works as an adult-manga artist and a stepbrother who keeps house and looks after her. A lovey-dovey stepsister story on the subject of step-siblings, it also introduces the dark-tanned gyaru classmate who takes centre stage in the next book.

Readers agree that the title is no exaggeration: hearts mark the ends of lines of dialogue, the sound effects, even the pupils of the eyes. They also praise a sweetness that never detours into darkness, and the atmosphere of the page. While she is shut in with a manuscript the stepsister looks like a calm, bookish woman; once the pages are done, she changes completely. Her profession creates the gap in her character.

It was the first work that Miyamoto Issa, the artist behind the circle NOSEBLEED, released on DLsite: handed out at Comic Market 95 at the end of 2018, it went on sale digitally the following January. Reviews survive from readers glad to be able to read the work digitally at last. The title passed through two sequels and on into the 2023 commercial collection Heart Mark Motto Oome.

Since 2024 official translations have appeared in English, Chinese, Korean and Spanish, and the book has also served as the source for a live-action video work. It stands 82nd among the hall's doujin works.
