EROMANGA
HALL OF FAME

A Pure Girl, Corrupted stands in the hall for its power to bring readers who had always avoided netorare face to face with the genre.

Tsukimi and Takagi have been seeing each other in secret for six months under a school rule that forbids dating, and the story begins when an upperclassman gets hold of a photograph of the two of them. It is an adult work of the netorare kind, set at a school, and its plot does not stray from the genre's main road.

The artist behind the circle Mosquito On., Great Moth, is credited with carrying that familiar road on the care of the drawing and the density of the staging. What readers name first is the design of the heroine, with her long black hair, and her embarrassed expressions. And Japanese-language criticism keeps landing on one further point: the man who takes her is never drawn low enough to hate. Nothing sour is left at the end, so even readers who had kept away from the genre can walk in. More than one has set down the same account — wary of the tag, drawn by the art, read it through.

The circle began in 2017 with Touhou Project fan work, and this book is where it turned to original stories. The original edition was handed out at the end of 2019 and reached DLsite in the spring of 2021, together with its sequel. Its numbers grew far larger on FANZA than on DLsite, making it one example of how thick the netorare readership runs on FANZA.

Official English editions came from FAKKU and Irodori Comics, and a French edition exists as well. In the hall it stands 17th among doujin works and third in the netorare category, with its own sequel one place above. Of the eight works in that category, two belong to this series.
