It draws two people together one exchanged line at a time. Neechan no Tomodachi (My Sister's Friend) stands in the hall as a one-shot that staked everything on dialogue and on the relationship itself.

Kousei has known Shino, his older sister's friend, since they were small, and has carried a torch for her all along. A remark from Shino he never expected to hear sets a long familiarity in motion. It is a pure-love story between childhood acquaintances, following the protagonist and the older woman he has always known until the two become a couple.

When the work went on sale, Shouji Nigou, the artist behind the circle Uchuusen Shoujigou, wrote that the effort had gone into drawing readers in through the back-and-forth of dialogue and the relationship between the two. Reader comment gathers in exactly that place: details that suggest years of shared history, the gradual closing of distance, the conversation the pair share at the very end. What the maker aimed for and what readers took away meet at the same point.

The circle began in fan works and moved to original stories about older women in 2019. This one-shot followed Hirowareta Onna no Ko to Ojisan no Hanashi from earlier the same year, 2021, went on sale on DLsite and FANZA on the same day, and became the circle's last new release on DLsite. In the titles of the FANZA-exclusive work since, older sisters and older women keep appearing.

Doujin manga with "my sister's friend" in the title multiplied in the years that followed, and one might read this as a work from just before that wave. Read most widely on FANZA, it stands 78th among the hall's doujin works.
