It builds an entire adult manga without drawing a single man. Chichi Yuri Girls did this at a time when adult yuri was still a rarity, and it stands in the hall for having done so.
It is a yuri collection built around two serials, one in which a succubus appears to a high-school girl and one about a secret club at a girls' school, with short stories set between them. One of those stories, featuring a fairy, is a non-consensual piece.
Men are not merely kept out of the plot; they never appear even in the background. This rigour is the point on which readers agree most often. The serial alternates with the short stories and advances a step at a time, and through to its conclusion, drawn specially for the book, readers have taken it as a yuri story of two characters coming to recognise what they feel for each other. The soft line and the inventiveness of the fantasy apparatus are praised again and again.
The book gathers work from G-Walk's Monthly QooPA!, and it was Homura Subaru's first commercial collection. Under the circle name Homuraya Pleiades, the artist has kept drawing original yuri as a specialty, and in 2026 published a second collection, Chichi Yuri Rhapsody, which carries the title forward. This book is the starting point set down eleven years earlier.
When it came out in 2015, readers wrote that they wanted to see more of this kind of book; a few years later, reviews began to note that such works were becoming more common, and this one is still selling today. It stands 31st among the hall's commercial works.
