Nudist Beach ni Shuugaku Ryokou de!! stands in the hall as a book that grew a premise which could have been a one-line joke into a nine-chapter serial, and gathered the votes and citations of its own year as well.

It is an adult serial in the school-harem mould, following one class whose free day on a school trip to Europe takes them to a nudist beach. The male lead is a single boy, the class president, and the harem formula is fitted into the frame of a single trip.

Shiwasu no Okina's craft shows in the handling of numbers. Each girl is given a brief introduction and a glimpse of her everyday self in the classroom before the story proper begins, so a dozen and more personalities never blur. The opening's attention to the restless boys and the bewildered girls is credited with lending truth to an outrageous premise.

The male role is kept to one, and the final pages make room for the other boys as well. Japanese readers agree that this design leaves no unpleasant aftertaste. An English-language database records more than ten thousand ratings.

The artist debuted in Aun in 1997; this ran in the same magazine for a little over a year, eighteen years on. Fourth place at the Ero-Manga Grand Prize 2015, and a category prize at Kono Ero-Manga ga Sugoi!. It has been animated, and editions exist in traditional Chinese, English and Italian. The book stands 16th among the hall's commercial works.
