A first collection that left a firm mark in both print and digital. Muttsuri Bitch stands in the hall as the point where Puyocha's career begins.
It gathers nine stories from Bunendo's COMIC BAVEL and, as the title announces, belongs to what Japanese readers call the "bitch" genre. Its official tags also include training-themed stories involving exposure and bondage. The cast ranges across gyaru, an idol and foreign students, and the setting changes from story to story, from school to the entertainment world.
Its reputation rests on the drawing. Readers praised its atmosphere and composition just after the print release, and later readers agree, almost to a person, on draughtsmanship that holds to the standard of the cover all the way through. Several reviews also note the opening colour pages and how finely expressions are rendered. The story titles are full of wordplay.
As the artist has made public, Puyocha also works in doujin as the circle Brio. The magazine where these stories first ran was launched in December 2014, so the book arrived in its third year. The print edition appeared at the end of July 2017, and the digital edition reached DLsite and FANZA on the same day in August.
In the print era it placed 33rd in FANZA's mail-order annual comics ranking for 2017, where two other books with "bitch" in the title also appear. Books flying an image of sexually free women in their titles were increasing year by year, and one might read this one as arriving near the crest of that climb. It stands 36th among the hall's commercial works.
