What the first book held back, the second lets loose. Suck Sex Stories stands in the hall as the turning point at which chin's dialogue came into its own on the commercial page.
Gyaru, a model, a gym trainer, a nursery teacher, a bunny girl, a married woman: women of different jobs and costumes are drawn into relations with middle-aged men through smooth talk, manipulation, or hypnosis. The book collects eight short stories of seduction and training.
What readers agree on most is the change in the dialogue. Language that had been restrained in the first collection, they write, recovers here the momentum of chin's doujin work. The other axis is costume, and several reviews single out how much care goes into it. The tone never sinks into gloom, and some stories close on success or a fresh start.
The print edition came out in August 2017 under Kuroe Shuppan's Shingeki Comics label, nine months after the first collection. At the back come bonus pages: profiles of the men, and a parody of hero stories. The books that followed were built on the language set free here.
Commercial titles on DLsite containing "gyaru" jumped from 23 in 2015 to 102 in 2017, at a time when the overall number of titles held steady, and this book appeared in the middle of that wave. It stands 116th among the hall's commercial works.
