Some artists are read for their words, so much so that the dialogue became a bonus item. Hatsujou Kedamono Koubi-roku Tanetsuke Ojisan Goroku Karuta-tsuki Genteiban stands in the hall as the book whose very form was shaped by chin's ear for language.

It is a short-story collection built mostly on hypnosis stories, including the reality-alteration variety, with hypnosis, aphrodisiacs and possession serving as the way in. Cat girls, a tengu, witches, succubi and other non-human or fantasy figures fill the cast, and the book was sold with a karuta card deck collecting the lines of its middle-aged male leads.

Readers agree first on what those men say. Archaic turns of phrase and absurd vocabulary burst out, and the register switches without warning. Many reviews say this swing draws a laugh, and the karuta deck was welcomed as a well-made joke. At the back sits a bonus strip in which the male leads hold a round-table chat, already in place here.

The range of non-human characters is wider than in earlier collections, and readers say the story of a tengu and a shrine maiden recalls figures chin has drawn in doujin work as Chinchin-tei. It is a Kill Time Communication book from a period when chin was building up collections while moving between publishers.

The print edition appeared in August 2019 under the Unreal Comics label. It was the year in which more commercial titles on DLsite carried the word "hypnosis" than in any other. It stands 55th among the hall's commercial works.
