What a character says during sex is usually there to describe the sex. In chin's hands the dialogue came loose from that job and became the thing worth reading. Mesu Is All Mazo is where that arrives.

A prefect put under hypnosis; an undercover agent dosed with an aphrodisiac; a maid in service to the master of a house; a young wife pressed by her brother-in-law. All nine pieces run on the same shape — a woman placed somewhere she cannot refuse, then taken apart by pleasure.

The words that come out of the men are peculiar. Blunt obscenity, and then, in the middle of it, an archaic turn of phrase or a maxim from nowhere. The publisher's own copy sells the book on its "bold and skilful obscenity"; readers simply call it the lexicon. The drawing holds its end up too: flesh that stops short of excess, sweat rendered grain by grain, room temperature carried by steam, and small hand-lettered sounds crowding the margins.

This is a fourth volume from Angel Publishing. In the doujin world the artist has drawn under the name Chinchin-tei. The 2019 volume was sold in a limited edition packaged with a karuta deck of the lexicon; this one came with a calendar setting one line from the book against each of twelve months. The dialogue has spilled out past the covers.

At the back of the book sits a round-table strip in which the male leads, and only the male leads, sit around and chat. Among the hall's commercial works this one stands twenty-fourth.
