An artist reaching a second collection has to decide whether to close the world of the first or keep living in it. In Love Me, Kyockcho kept living in it.
A library monitor handed a toy; an underclassman who reacts far too loudly in the equipment shed; a small, well-mannered senior. Roughly half the book carries on with heroines from Lovely — the twin-sister run continues, and so does the teacher and his student.
The craft shows in how the panels are cut. A page divided into four, then held across a second page to follow a climax from beginning to end. A run of panels in which the camera stays put and only the body moves. Readers keep pointing to the line that runs from thigh to hip. And most pieces end on a kiss — an ending placed so that a relationship survives the act.
This is a second volume, gathering work published in COMIC BAVEL. The digital edition adds one more piece about the twins, found nowhere else.
An English edition came from FAKKU in print as Love Me. Among the hall's commercial works this one sits twenty-third, standing alongside its predecessor as the second of the artist's volumes here.
