Lovely stands in the hall as the first collection in which Kyockcho concentrated the craft on the faces of the characters, and which also holds the first chapter of a series that would run for years.

An adult collection of sweet romances set at school, in which restraint and sex toys are frequent devices. Seven short pieces and one two-part story, eight works in all. Each is set within a short distance of the others, and a character from one wanders into the corner of another. Read through, the separate stories resolve into one loosely connected world. From the first book on, the artist was laying out short fiction as a surface rather than as scattered points.

The craft is concentrated in the drawing of expression. The ability to choose the face that best fits each moment and place it panel by panel is what readers at two storefronts have named, independently of one another. The artist's afterword speaks about that same attention to expression, and readers know it. This is a book in which the one drawing and the ones reading are looking at the same thing.

This is a first collection, gathering a little over two years of work from COMIC BAVEL. An artist who had been active with a doujin circle found a place in a commercial magazine, and this was the first thing put before the public. One story here, about a pair of twin sisters, Kaede to Suzu, grew into a long-running series, was animated, and was later slated for a figure. The artist's signature work grew out of a single piece in a first book of short stories.

An English edition came from FAKKU, and a simplified Chinese edition from the original publisher itself. Among the hall's commercial works it stands seventh, and with the second volume, Love Me, both of the artist's collections stand in the hall.
