Even a collection of self-contained stories becomes a line once the volumes accumulate. Binkan Flavor stands in the hall as the second book that grew the Binkan name into a series, calling back characters from the first while closing every story on mutual love.

It is a collection of pure-love stories, centred on school settings, about two people close at hand: childhood friends, an upperclassman and a junior, a tutor and the one being tutored. Among its stories are the linked Oshiete Ageru and Nekohata Days with a newly drawn epilogue, and the special digital editions add a previously uncollected story, for ten in all.

Readers agree on its pure-love manner, every story ending with feelings returned. Reviewers also single out the few quiet pages of everyday exchange placed after a story's climax, the shift in pace showing who the two are to each other; the generous dialogue that lets them follow the movement of feeling; and the expressiveness of the panel work. Sharp-eyed and half-lidded faces are counted among the artist's signatures.

fu-ta has built two lines in parallel, Binkan at Bunendo and Wet at Wani Magazine. In December 2020, when this book came out, new titles from the two houses appeared within half a month of each other, and the following month the subscription service Komiflo marked both releases by opening seven of fu-ta's works for a limited time.

The print edition came out at the end of December 2020, the digital edition in 2021. It stands in the hall alongside its predecessor, Binkan Sweet, and ranks 104th among the hall's commercial works.
