Thank You Very Bitch stands in the hall as the book in which Tamagoro set, at the first attempt, the key the rest of the career would be played in: light short fiction that refuses to bring darkness in.

Twelve short pieces, some of them set at school, in the genre Japanese readers call bicchi-mono ("bitch" stories), where a sexually forthright heroine makes the first move herself. The title story opens the book, returns in a sequel subtitled "The Birthday," and comes back once more as a coda at the end, so that a single story appearing three times runs like a spine through what is otherwise a gathering of one-shots. None of the remaining pieces ends darkly. One of them, "Astro Girl," even closes on a gag.

The book's value lies in a brightness that does not run on guilt. No piece ends with someone hurt, and nothing heavy is left behind once the last page is turned. Later volumes would be built around serials and praised for clean line and tone work, but the foundation never changed. Readers, too, name the brightness first.

This is the first collection, binding roughly a year and a half of one-shots from the pages of Comic Penguin Club Sanzokuban. All four collections up to 2019 are in the hall, and this is where they begin.

English-language manga databases carry two independent entries for the title. Reader comments kept arriving without a break through 2025. Among the hall's commercial works it stands twelfth.
