Caramel Hame Art stands in the hall as the book that closed the four volumes Tamagoro built in five years after a first collection, closing them with a wider cast and a more practised page.
This is bicchi-mono, fiction built around sexually forthright heroines, with many of its pieces set at school, and one storefront's genre listing also names netorare, stories of a partner taken by someone else. A three-chapter serial forms the spine, single short pieces including the title story are set around it, and a newly drawn coda closes the book. The coda continues "TAKE OUT" from the second collection, so that characters carried across three books are the ones who shut the fourth. The title story ends on a quiet scene, and some readers single out that ending as the one that stays with them.
Reader after reader writes that the cast is wider than in the previous book. Earnest, haughty, gentle and motherly: the range of temperaments has grown, and adult characters, rare before, now join them. The line stays sparing while shape and situation come across without ambiguity, and readers have been naming that legibility as a skill since the book first went on sale.
The publisher presented it as the culmination of the artist's work. The next collection, Uchira Warui Ko nande, would not arrive until 2026, seven years later. Reader comments never stopped through that gap, running into 2025.
33rd among the hall's commercial works. All four collections up to 2019 are in the hall.
