One new figure arrives with each chapter, and the last chapter brings them all together. “Ikinari! Harem Life” stands in the hall as the volume that carried that serial design through to completion and fixed Omina Tachibana's name among the steady sellers of the print era.

It is an adult harem story set at a school: a male student who struggles with people transfers to a new school, where one woman after another, each with a quirk of her own, takes a liking to him. It first ran in Buster Comic under the title Zannen na Heroine-tachi, and the volume collects all six chapters.

What reviewers mention most is that every one of these strongly flavoured characters holds her own. Several agree that the quirks stay within the bounds of charm, and others note that the pace never slackens as the cast grows. Many also read it as the story of a protagonist who is pushed around and gradually changes.

It was Omina Tachibana's second collected volume, following Boy Meets Harem in 2013. Readers coming to it years later remark that the artist's style was already fully formed here.

The print edition appeared in July 2014. It ranked seventh that year among adult comics in DMM's annual mail-order chart, and it was later named among the 100 all-time titles that Toranoana's Akihabara store A compiled in 2022. The digital edition followed four and a half years later, in January 2019, and a collection containing epilogue chapters came after it in 2021. It stands 80th among the hall's commercial works.
